With Microsoft releasing the final Verison of the Internet Explorer 7.0 on 2006-10-18 and Mozilla following with Firefox 2.0 on 2006-10-23, there might emerge a new browser war. We had a close look at the web-statistics of one of our larger sites, which attract around 12.000 unique visitors daily. The site is very mainstream, which means that Firefox is not over-represented due to it’s “Nerd-Factor”.

First of, let’s take a look at the browser stats from September 2006 (only browsers with >=0,1%):
